"-Hiking through a natural dirt/rock trail that will lead us to beautiful hidden waterfalls that are not visited by many where you can swim, take pictures or simply relax to the sound of cascading waters.
-Visiting an Observation Tower that will provide mesmerizing panoramic views of the eastern coast area of the Island and the peaks of the mountain range."
So for what it was our guide Christian was great! Knowledgeable and took good care of us. However something about this tour just seemed very, very, very underwhelming. Above I quoted right from their website what the $175 per person El Yunque tour and Bio Bay package included. While the bio bay part was great the El Yunque tour left much, much, much to be desired. Almost so that we felt that we were semi cheated out of experiencing something that could've been really great. Especially when you read other reviews and see their pictures of what they did.
We did zero hiking. We did not visit any Observation tower. We saw no panoramic views of the mountain range. And we saw zero waterfalls much less any hidden ones. All we did was drive to a small cave for 15-20 mins then drove to a watering hole for another 45 mins to an hour then left. Then we drove to a sliding rock for another 45 mins. After that we stopped at a beach to eat at a local restaurant. Literally that was our El Yunque experience. We never even reached the actual entrance to El Yunque. It seemed like we were just on the outskirts and the bottom of the rain forest we never went up any mountain. I hate to leave a negative review but I would not like to see anyone else get their hopes and expectations up especially when you're visiting a natural wonder like a rainforest but end up leaving empty handed with no pictures or videos to show for it. - via
