Visited in december, owners are rude and are in it for money.
We booked from our resort and was told by the Zanzibar Watersports employee that we could pay anything as a deposit and the rest at the center, we asked about card payments and the employee said is is acceptable and there is no extra charge, meanwhile the owners enforced the extra 5% charge on our scuba for paying with card.
The scuba itself was a major disappointment, boat ride was 4 hours in total, burnt in the sun and lunch was mostly rice and vegetables - the dive master and instructor dished up first and picked out all the meat from the meal.
My spouse did a discover scuba course and we were told that the dives would count towards the Padi Open Water course, yet after paying there was no proof that the discover scuba course was completed. - via
