Very poor experience. We walked into upstairs restaurant. 5 or 6 staff were huddled around the bar and not one acknowledged us. We then had to find ourselves a menu as the tables did not have any. We then asked what the pie of the day was to find that the staff did not know, and then to find that they don’t have any at all.
Following this we ordered 2 fish finger sandwiches. The staff then came to our table after ordering to explain they have no gluten free sandwiches, even though I ordered 2 regular meals.
The food came and was barely warm. The “hot” sandwiches were a long way off hot, including the chips.
And to finish off after sitting for half an hour after finishing our food the staff had still not cleared out table. The restaurant had around 4-5 tables occupied, so not busy.
Very disappointed considering it cost £36 for 2 sandwich meals and 2 pints. £6.05 a pint! - via
