I had taken a Open Water Dive course with David a week ago from now. My first day in pool class had been overwhelming cause I used to be scared of water even though I do swim and the freedom I have felt ever since I completed my 6 successful dive with him is something I find difficult to express in word. I will do my best to share. Today I went to watch a movie which was mainly on underwater world and I had been a person who feared water or would feel suffocated watching anything like that even on screen since I was a kid. For the first time, I was enjoying the dive part in the movie just like how I enjoyed being underwater in real life too, not thinking of how difficult it would be to breath cause I had my beautiful experience of a lifetime. I breathed, I lived those moments. This particular emotion to be freed of, meant a lot of me and I am grateful to have come across an Instructor as David who kept telling me that I will make it, that I will do it. It was exactly what I needed to hear and feel. I did it. I completed my dive course, it was on my birthday. The best gift I could have given to myself. A sense of healing and freedom. Ps: David made sure me and my partner(already certified diver who found this dive shop and had planned it all with David in prior) dive together as buddies in each of our 6 dives except in the first 2 where David himself was there holding my hand and making sure that I feel safe as I am introduced to the underwater world. Cant wait to see the images of us all so I can cherish them forever. - via Google
