DO NOT GO HERE. I had an awful experience here (and so did my friends). I went looking for a refresher and told them I had been 14 years since initial open water training and 10 yrs without a dive and that I couldn't remember much. They suggested I'd be fine for the open water dive, anyway. I asked for a refresher in the pool first before committing to open water. Went in the pool with them for a refresher which included ZERO basic material review. I had a hard time in the pool and forgot basic stuff. Out of the pool the instructor outright accused me of lying about my PADI open water cert. Humiliating and insulting. Furthermore, they refused to refund money for the outdoor dive even though that dive was full anyway (I was only on a wait list - and had only agreed to go if the pool went well). I eventually got a refund when I argued at length with them. Someone is going to die on one of their trips given how nonchalant and disorganized they are.
Edit: note the response below, refusing to take responsibility. i wrote a letter the day after and emailed it to the aqua society- so they received it. Shame. - via
