Just so we’re clear at no point did I ever witness unsafe practices at this DZ or witness anything that would breach AFF or FAA regulations. It’s with a heavy heart that I leave. Such negative review for a skydiving center that I once loved greatly. As a business owner, I can say that the operator Sammy is unprofessional, and the way that he conducts business. He’s a very good instructor in terms of safety, but his facility leaves a lot to be desired. As a new skydiver and fun jumper, I relied on him to teach me I was constantly belittled, and made to feel less than. My time was not respected, and my efforts were not acknowledged. I would’ve been better off getting my certification in Paris, California, which is what I recommend if you’re trying to get your skydiving license. Any mistake I made was chastised in public instead of private. And to make matters worse At the end of it all the equipment that I paid for was held hostage because of personal differences. If you’re gonna do a tandem jump, I would recommend that you go to go jump. They’ve got a much better operation and you’re more likely to receive the customer service expected from a five-star business. I would not send my friends to Furiosity for Skydive training or for tandem jumps. - via
