I stayed at FDR the week before last week and upon arrival at the hotel I thought I was going to seriously hate it due to its small size and lack of western looks, but everything went... ok. One of the things I liked the most there (and you would not guess it!) was the playlist of the music that was being played on the radio around the pool/bar area, ONLY great songs, making the atmosphere so great. -So, you so could tell the songs were carefully selected. Big kudos to the programmer!!!... I also liked the morning Bike tour of the neighborhood, by the dreadlocks-feat. hotel guide (I forget his name). Highly recommended! I did it twice during my week-long stay at FDR and I am still in awe with the mountain sceneries and all that I have seen while pedaling around with the group of tourist bikers I was in. And receptionist Cyri was amazing!... The only thing is that the poor-looking beach and the old wood infrastructure around need a good makeover. And sometimes (not a lot though!) I'd have a hard time getting hot water in the bathroom, so this needs to be checked upon too. And the flies bothering you while you're eating your breakfast would need to be addressed as well... - via
