just finished the Schuylkill lock loop in a kayak. great experience. We had to reschedule because of bad weather on the original date and David was very responsive even on short notice to get us in. The kayaks are very comfortable. they even have a rudder which stabilizes you on the river and makes for a smoother rider. was a first for me. It’s about a 2.5 to 3 hours loop. frist going up the canal, then down the river with the current and up the canal again to the launch point. The instructions are very clear even for someone with short attention span like yours truly. No need to get to a meeting point and being driven back to the launch as it is sometimes the case. That being said you have to get out of the kayak twice and transport it about 300 feet twice when switching between canal and river. That part might not be everyone‘s idea of a good time on a hot day.. - via google
