Diveaway failed to ensure the cost of the scuba was billed to our room at Outrigger Resort. We had informed them the afternoon before at 3pm that we were checking out the next morning; they even advised us to request a later checkout, so they were well aware of timing.
Knowing that we were staying in town for the remainder of our trip, they came looking for us and confronted us in person 1. Without a copy of our bill 2. Accused us for not paying for the dive and having “walked out and conned” them.
As far as we were aware, it was charged to our room and I even signed the invoice on the day of booking the dive. We had absolutely no intentions of “walking out” on a bill, especially being a local and disclosing our location in town (which is how they found us)
It’s not my responsibility to cross check my entire week’s bill at the resort to ensure that one activity was charged. Would recommend not accusing your customers from the get go.
Pretty sure there’s some breach of privacy here for confronting people in person. - via
