Just go some where else, I have too many examples of why the staff and resort at Heron Island made this paradise a disappointing stay. From the lack of professionalism by a number of staff from the restaurant to the marine centre, I would spend your money elsewhere. Lady Elliot is a much better alternative for everything from snorkelling and diving to overall experience, and based on the age of a number of the poor reviews, management has no inclination to do better and for the cost of the trip, I would spend it anywhere else. - via
