Recently my husband and I visited Kokomo Private Island Resort. It is a lovely island with incredible beautifully maintained gardens. We stayed for eight nights in a sunrise villa and we very much enjoyed our stay. The villa is designed with attention to detail that made our stay comfortable and pleasant. The staff worked exceptionally well. I would like to specifically mention Leba, the main restaurant manager, who really had a magic wand and created everything we wanted for ourselves without any hesitation. We highly recommend to everyone to try Kokonda - a Fijian raw fish salad. This dish was an absolute delight for breakfast. If you like to have your dinner served in your villa, then you have to ask the lovely Charlie, who will set your table in the best Fijian style. I had the great pleasure of having three body treatments, including one facial, at Kokomo Island Spa, where I was served by the senior therapist Maria. She is a highly skilled professional with great knowledge, and I had a lot of joy spending my time in the Spa and being treated by the lovely Maria. Every time we needed a transfer to anywhere we wanted to go within the island, we had a very special KokoLimo ride (we created this special name for the 8-seater golf cart). We highly recommend catching a ride and having fun talking to your driver - Netani. He presented me with the most touching birthday card on the day of my special birthday. All of the staff at the resort are amazing, and they made our stay there exceptional and memorable. A huge thanks to all of them! Food: We have been visiting a lot of high-end luxury resorts including in Tahiti, Fiji and Maldives. For a luxury resort, as Kokomo positions itself on the market, we don't think they fit into the exceptional bracket. All the food is fresh and tasty, but very simple and with basic presentation. It was more like street food without any really unique or outstanding elements. One big downside were the desserts and pastries - they need a big improvement. They were of a three star resort standard, rather than luxury. In conclusion, we would recommend this resort for a visit, but we believe it is overpriced for what is offered. It is a solid 5 star resort by Fijian standards, but not a premium luxury resort by international standard. - via Google
