A nightmare
We had heard that the crossing could be sporty but we did not expect that... after more than an hour of delay we board a tiny boat using a boat which is taking on water and that we ourselves must push. In the boat, 40 people crammed together and vomit bags hanging everywhere which really announce the color... I was sitting half outside on the deck so every second torrents of water fell on me, I was completely soaked and no one did anything to give me a towel or find me another place. The crossing was just HORRIBLE, we were going a thousand an hour, 3 times we stopped in the open sea due to engine failure, they repaired it in the open sea with the disgusting gasoline smells that go with it.. . here everyone doesn't care about you, there is no service. For the return we used GiliGetAway and it was night and day. They welcome you with towel, candy, bottles of water. If you want to go to the Gilis I do not recommend leaving from Amed because it is the same for all companies a priori. - via
