We had an absolute blast with Omar and his team! We did the discovery scuba dive for 5 people for a bachelor party. From his short training session and testing on the dive, we felt confident in our skill set and several of us even booked the next day boat dive with Omar as well. It was honestly one of the best dive experiences I could have asked for, and we all had a ton of fun on the dive and all felt very safe! We would definitely choose this dive shop in the future if we ever visit Cozumel again. :)
I am deducting one star though because of the people Dive Paradise contracts out for photographs; I'll explain. On the first and second day of diving, there was a photographer (Which we did not request or know about ahead of time) that followed us and photographed us so we could later buy the photos. When the time came to purchase, the only option the photographer gave us was the entire video slide show for $250 (not even the photos). It was a short video with all of our photos in a slide show, but at least like 1/3 of the photos were of fish or other wildlife, which we didn't really want. The photographer gave us no options to purchase any individual photos and instead left us on read several times without any response. This is no way to do business, and they are trying to scalp tourists and others with their cost and quality (Not top quality photos). It's not right to leave customers on read without a response, even if the response is a no. I am still waiting for a response and have received none. - via
