My family had a great time viewing fireworks from the water this year. Sadly, we fouled an anchor and had to leave it with 200 feet of chain rode behind. Jeff, at Indian Point Dive Center, did amazing work recovering the anchor and rode. He found it with no float attached and no Google Pin location. Jeff gave me a valuable tip I want to pass along. If you cannot mark the anchor with a float, find a point on shore and let your rode out in the dicection of the mark. That way he can swim in a criss-cross pattern to locate the rode, which will lead him to the anchor. Thank you to Jeff and the IPDC! - via
