No longer recommend if your coming from out of town.
Their needs to be a clear way to let people know that a public city park is going to be closed, especially when it happens so randomly and often. Or that their will be some days you are charging a mandatory fee to access a public park, besides some guys sitting at the gate on that day.
It would be helpful if there was an official website that was upto date. If you had a website that had an accurate schedule that would be amazingly helpful! And if their is, please share it. I don't want to text someone for approval everytime I want to ride there. I understand that was meant as a helpful offfer.
I could not find any info on line or around the park of a special event, and I double checked that morning. But the guy who claimed to be in charge of maintenance told me it should have been updated through IRideNM online but could not provide a website or any specifics. The guy that claimed to be in charge of maintenance and charging the fee also said he doesn't post the schedule he just tells IRideNM and it is up to them to inform the public.
I was told that IRideNM is a non profit responsible for the track. But the guy claiming to maintain it has days that he charges cash fees to use a public city park!
Donations are different than surprise mandatory fees.
I haven't been able to ride since 2019. I've tried but have been turned away for different reasons. - via
