The place is pretty clean, the planes are nice, the staff is wonderful, the wait was short and everything was well-organized.
However, the goggles they provide suck. I’ve been skydiving before without an issue, but today, I spent the whole free fall concerned my contact was going to pop out from all the wind coming in from the right side.
I’m not sure if trying them on prior to already being in the air would have even helped, but it definitely downgraded my experience. I will say that my tandem person made up for it by doing some cool things after the free fall that I didn’t experience the first time I went skydiving (elsewhere, years ago).
My daughter also went and had a bad experience with her goggles. It was her first jump and I was hoping she would feel so “in the moment” as I did during my first jump, but the goggles being dug into her face prevented that. It was so bad that the videographer had to point it out to her tandem person, and all her photos are of her squinting in pain, or having her tandem person’s hands on her goggles trying to fix them. It was so bad, she still had red marks under her eyes when she went to work five hours later.
We both want to go skydiving again, and they offered a discount if we sign up again in a week. But I would rather pay a little more for a chance we’ll get better goggles elsewhere. - via
