Im a full time instructor currently working in México and I went to spend a few days in Guatemala, diving on the lake atitlan was on my bucket list for a while. Before i even booked anything I talked to them via email to get some information and they were fast to answer and helpfull. Its not really easy to reach the dive center but they guide you on what boats to take and how to get there. I arrived in the morning and shorty after the standard paperwork me and other divers got gear up and briefed. The equipament is good and in good condition. Shorty after we went to the boat, a small one but more than enough to fit the small group. Buoyancy check before we start the dive and then we go down. Rock formations and alot of geológical interesting things to see and also some marine life like algaes, fish, crabs. The Visibility was good for a lake (around 5m) and the water was around 20°C which is quite warm and with the 2 double 7mm suit you wont feel cold at all.
Final note, its a great place to dive, with a great view, dont expect it to be like caribbean, if you are looking for crystal clear, warm water full of beautifull corals and tropical fish its not the place for you.
Thanks for the dives
