We booked the open water course dives for 2 with Hightide after completing the online and pool components in Canada. We sent our Padi information ahead of time and were asked to confirm once we were in Barbados. Unfortunately rough conditions / surge threatened to derail our plans but we were lucky with windows of good weather and spent 2 half-days with the Master Diver Trainer, Edwin. We had an absolute blast. The process was efficient, informative, and fun. Edwin’s sense of humour kept us on our toes. Equipment was ready for us, the dive boat is ready to go, the staff were helpful, safety was first.
Re other recent reviews… I think if you expect perfect administration from a dive shop on a beach in Barbados… These guys are on the water all day. If your group is derailed and you rally each individual to leave a 1-star review… From my perspective as a new diver who has done a few dives around the world before finally getting licensed, these guys, and certainly Edwin, were very good at what they do. Definitely deserving of 5-stars. - via
