Top notch! My friend and I were on a cruise and arranged to dive at Coconut Tree. Communication beforehand was amazing. I was working on an advanced certifcation and the shop wroked with my LDS to make sure the dives I did there transferred. Pickup from the ship was super easy and the DMs were fabulous. We were paired with another family from the ship so it was just four of us on the dive boat--with two Dive Masters/Instructors. Coconut Tree has a very active Dive Instructor training program so I think you always get fabulous ratios. You just can't beat this level of attention.
However, what makes me wish I could give CTD ten stars is what happened at the end of the second dive. I have a friend who always jokes that the most dangerous part of diving is getting in and our of the boat. Ummm yeah. That was me. Freak thing. My fault. THIS is where the staff shined. Fabulous triage. The shop is literally steps away from a medical clinic that is WELL equipped to handle medical emergencies and they took care of me right away. The DI stayed with me the entire time. The staff bent over backwards to make sure I was ok. Sometimes it is the little things. They took all my gear, cleaned it, packed it up and brought it to me. They made sure we got back to the boat on time. This was human kindness at its best.
As a female diver usually doing this solo, it's nice to have palces that you can trust--especially when things go awry. For me, that is Coconut Tree - via
