I had the pleasure of experiencing two dives with Paradise Pacific Divers, with Nuria and Henry. Our underwater adventure took place in Lake Ilopango, and it was nothing short of spectacular.
The first dive was on top of a volcano chimney, an extraordinary geological feature that offered a unique diving experience. The underwater terrain here was a mix of volcanic rock formations with hot steam vents and unique aquatic life.
Our second dive took us around an island within Lake Ilopango itself. This dive had a completely different vibe, with schools of fish and hidden crabs throughout the rocks. The island's perimeter provided an excellent backdrop for exploring and observing the aquatic ecosystem up close.
What truly made our dives exceptional were the guides, Nuria and Henry. Nuria, a dive master extraordinaire with over 12,000 dives under her belt, led me with expertise and enthusiasm. Her knowledge of the dive sites and attention to safety were impeccable. Her partner, Henry, a retired sailor, complemented the team with his own wealth of experience and local insights.
The captain of our small dive ship, Edwin, was just as impressive. His skills as a captain were evident in how smoothly he navigated the choppy and windy waters of Ilopango.
The equipment provided by Paradise Pacific Divers was top-notch, well-maintained, and suitable for divers of all levels. The dive shop's commitment to safety and dive satisfaction was evident in every aspect of their operation.
