A good all round experience - safe, organised and good tuition. This diving school is run and staffed by northern Europeans with fluent English spoken. Also popular with Swedish divers and there were advanced Japanese divers on our trip who were satisfied. I spent two days achieving Advanced Open Water so my views are as a relatively new diver.
First thing is that the teaching was very good, my tutor was friendly but quite strict, this is important when you are paying to learn.
Second is that the equipment was in good condition. The wetsuit was a little worn but the BCD and octopus were fine. Third is that the boat was very large and comfortable. Some dive sites take over two hours to reach so this is a good point. Food and crew were also good.
Finally, the instructors were safe and cautious. We had to change the itinerary due to excessive swell and currents. My buddy misjudged his air and had to share with the instructor for the safety stop, this was handled well.
The coral and marine life are good here, Hin Daeng is full of life.
