The people who run and operate this tour are wonderful! Six of us were hiking, and one of us had trouble because it was extremely strenuous. We called from one of the way stations they have set up for this purpose, and they sent a guide, Randy, to assist us. He was so kind and helped my friend finish the trip, ensuring his safety, every step of the way. We will never forget how kind Randy was.
Regarding the trip itself, the views of the jungle are absolutely beautiful. I will share some pictures, but be aware that you should wear sturdy hiking shoes and be able to climb up and down very steep hills. Don’t wear flip flops as some did. If you are in good shape, it is invigorating. but this is not a casual stroll on a level surface. My Apple Watch told me that we climbed the equivalent of 100 flights of stairs. You get to see many beautiful, waterfalls, large, and small. And at the start and end of the trail, there is a beautiful lodge with stunning views of the mountains. And they serve amazing food. The cost of the food was included on our tour, but you can buy the food, independent of any tour. At the end of the trail, we rode horses back to the lodge, which was fun. The horses are very peaceful, and the ride is fairly short , so nearly anybody can do the horse ride. They also have bicycles on zip lines for people who want more adventure on the last leg.
They even have brushes and hoses to clean the mud off of your boots afterwards. They have thought of everything!
I loved the hike. - via
