Mike, the owner, is a man of his word, and he really bent over backwards to get me the practical part of my Rescue Diver certification over a few consecutive days (instead of the usual two weekends) since I was only going to be in town for a few days. About six months prior to my trip to Florida, I contacted him with the dates I was available; even though no one else signed up for the class, he made arrangements for me to get with a Rescue Diver instructor for first pool time to practice skills, and then complete the scenarios on a couple of shore dives.
Furthermore, I highly recommend Mike for anyone looking to get the Equipment Specialist certification. I got a lot more out of the class than I expected because he had old no-longer-in-use gear (tanks, regs, BC's, etc) that we could inspect, as well as rental gear waiting to be serviced. Then we inspected my own gear, and I found out that the reason I occasionally get a bit of water in my reg when I am upside down in the water is because there is a very small tear in the diaphragm.
We exchanged the torn diaphragm with the one on my spare as a temporary fix, and then he ordered me a replacement. He was also able to order me the Aqualung Legend faceplate I have been trying to get my hands on for many months, and then ship it to me. And courtesy of his excellent Equipment Specialist training, I was able to put on my new faceplate and replace the torn diaphragm myself! The "Cherry-on-Top" was that he submitted the paperwork for my Master Diver certification, - via
