This might have been my favourite waterfall in Laos.
Parking our scooter was 2K and the entrance fee was 25K per foreigner. After we paid, we took the free shuttle to the waterfall (option to walk). The pathway to the main waterfall is beautiful. You get to see some bears and mini waterfalls. You can also swim in some of the lower pools.
We also did the mini hiking trail. There are warning signs that say it's slippery and it definitely is slick. I did the hike in plastic flip flops (0/10 would recommend) and ended up doing the descent barefoot. But what's cool is that we saw a Pope's pit viper on the hike! It was hidden in the tree leaves, just above our heads. In total, the hike took us around 30 minutes.
For being a main tourist attraction, it surprisingly didn't feel that way (went on a Tuesday afternoon). Sure it was busy, but not so busy that you feel suffocated. Also, the way they've fenced off a lot of the waterfalls makes it easy to take pictures without flocks of people in your shot. - via
