I wish there were an option to give 6 stars; this trip was truly an amazing experience and we are Nautilus customers for life. The scuba diving was spectacular and included beautiful reefs, giant manta rays, white tip reef sharks, plenty of sea turtles, a shipwreck, and getting up close and personal with sea lions. I had high expectations of the crew based on previous reviews, but my expectations were surpassed; the crew caters to your every whim to the point where you feel like you have your own personal assistant onboard. The crew also does this based on pure professionalism and care for their craft and you never once feel like a burden. As a side note, I was initially a little appalled to see the recommended gratuity in the FAQs, but at the end of the trip, I felt compelled to give more based on how impeccable the crew was and how much they maximized our enjoyment of the trip. The Explorer is a beautiful ship. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, the deck area for preparing your scuba equipment (which the crew does for you) was spacious and organized, the dining area provided for a cozy area to gather with the rest of the guests, the hot tub was amazing, and the top deck provided an opportunity to take in the sun or get a perfect view of fin whales during sunset! Just like everything else with this trip, the food was tremendous. From taco night on the top deck, to thick steaks and fresh fish, the chef’s selection was delicious and wide-ranging. If you don’t feel like scuba diving or aren’t scuba certified, there are still plenty of things to do onboard to keep you as busy as you’d like. We constantly felt torn between going out on any of the four scuba dives each day or staying onboard to enjoy other things such as kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, sitting in the hot tub, taking a dip in the water from the boat, going to the beach, or just relaxing onboard and taking in the views. Overall, I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful the trip was. Everything from the scuba diving, to the crew, to the food was perfect. I don’t even like to travel often, but we are already planning when we will be doing other Nautilus trips such as Guadelupe and Soccoro in the future. - via Google
