Giving 1 star because 0 stars is not an option. This shop is ran by an arrogant and loud individual who told me that I was not a “real customer” since I was only paying for $843 for my gear maintenance! He said he didn’t have time to call and let me know it was done because he was too busy with his real customers. After being laughed at when I said I was indeed a real customer and my ticket proved that, he chuckled and said that I sure was paying a lot, but he was short staffed and it didn’t matter.
He told me that BCD do not need annual maintenance. This has been something that has always been taught by other shops and gear manufacturers state procedures in their owners info about. He told me he could charge me $35 and wait a few days and then tell me he serviced the BCDs if that would make me feel better. He also lied about training the fine folks that worked at another local shop…what he doesn’t know is that I am friends with some of these people, and they called him out on his lies when I mentioned this to them.
Overall, so not use this massively over priced sad excuse of a dive shop. Go into Little Rock and use the Dive Shop. Pay almost 50% less and get treated with respect over there. My biggest mistake was not calling them first in order to check on pricing, timing, and customer service before I messed up and went to to Ocean Extreme. - via
