Utila is a bit hard to get to. You have to fly to LaCeiba and then take a puddle jumper to Utila. It is well worth it though. We went out one day to the uninhabited side of the Island and actually snorkelled with whale sharks 5 times and with bottle nose dolphins 3 times. It was the experience of a lifetime. The water where the whale sharks were was 2000 ft deep as we were off the continental shelf. We had visiblity of 200 ft. If I could repeat the experience I would do it again. - via
