Amazing and super friendly stuff, great food (way above my expectation!), nice room, and most importantly AWESOME diving instructor and experience!
We stayed at Shamar's guesthouse for 5 nights and did 10 dives with Shammon. And I wanna call out the highlights that justify the 5 star rating:
1. Shammon is one of the best diving instructor I have ever met, he is super calm, patient and professional, I had some trouble with equalizing at the beginning and thanks to him I was able to descend much faster at the end of the tour.
2. The diving experience and arrangement is superb and unbeatable!
Thanks to the end to end ownership (Shammon owns the guesthouse, transportation, boat, everything! This is rare in other dive centers), the diving experience was super smooth, flexible, and most importantly enable us to go to the best diving spot given the weather and ocean condition.
3. One of the best diving destination in Maldives, especially for whale sharks!
Mammigili is the island for whale shark, most whale shark spots are within 30 mins via boat, and thanks to Shammon's experience we were able to see whale shark 3 times in 4 days! Both at the bottom and the surface of water.
4. Amazing stuff and food.
This is not a 5-star resort, but the stuff, service and food are definitely way above an average guest house.
The staffs are always super friendly, responsible, courteous, and always ready to help.
The food great exceeds out expectation, with daily specials and Ala Carte menu, with wide variety of options ranging from Indian, South east Asia and Italian food.
Overall highly recommend! If you are serious about diving in Maldives and whale shark watching, and want to get the great service, room and food at much lower rate than Maldive's luxury hotels, this is the place!
