The best thing about Alona Vida is Coco Vida, it's attached bar and cafe. We ate 4 meals here, and were never disappointed. Just a warning - if you have a seaview room, it is right over the bar, which is pretty loud with live music until fairly late (maybe midnight). Not a problem for us because we can sleep through anything, just something to note. The room was not that great - for example, the shower heater worked intermittently, but it was not bad for the price. The staff of course is great, but that's pretty much standard in the Philippines. We would definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves back in Bohol. - via
