Lake 288 is awesome. Where else in any part of Southeast Texas can you swim in a place and see your toes? Not to mention there are no alligators or alligator gar or any other critters I don’t care to swim with. My wife and I went for the first time after I got a new kayak. She rented a SUP and I played with my new yak for hours. It was so much fun we bought my wife a new SUP the next day and we’re back out there. To those reviewers who say the water is gross, well maybe you should go swim the lower San Jac with bull sharks and Superfund waste site toxic pollution all up your snorkel and find out what gross water really looks like. Bet you can’t see your toes in that nasty soupy water. Lake 288 totally rocks, you guys keep on doing what you do, and we’ll keep coming and having a ton of fun. - via google
