We went diving with Anang last year and had an incredible experience, he’s the number one diver in the island, highly recommended, he knew where to find all the turtles and the most amazing fish. 5* - via 
Absolutely the worst possible dive centre in the world.
Their pool is a children's pool made of plastic, that's less than 2 meters deep.
The conditions are extremely unsafe. They're not worried about your safety, they're interested in selling you gear.
Super unprofessional, rude manager too.
I'll spare you all the details because it was a super unfortunate experience that I don't wish on my worst enemy, but I'll just let you know this:
I had dived in other places before and had absolutely loved it, with dive masters that were attentive and caring and made sure I felt safe. Unfortunately, I hadn't had the time to do my Open Water course in any of those places due to time constraints and having to fly home.
Instead, I decided to do the course in this awful place. From the beginning, it was the complete opposite of what I had experienced before.
Like I said, the pool was for children, not for a dive course.
No safety. The instructor left me 7m deep, with no visibility, with wayyyy too much weight on, (I couldn't get off the bottom, much less achieve any type of neutral buoyancy).
Then, when I finally manage to come up, he didn't even bother to check on me.
This is just a very basic account of what happened but calling it traumatising is an understatement.
I had to finish my Open Water course somewhere else, and thank God I got the coolest dive master that knew how to handle the awful experience I went through, with patience, care, safety, and knowledge.
Please don't go here, and don't take your children here.

If you’re in Horta and want to go scuba diving, there is no better place than Dive Azores. I had a pretty traumatic experience scuba diving with another school and came to finish my open water course with Joana. It couldn’t have been a better experience. Joana is extremely knowledgeable and I’m pretty convinced that she was a fish in another life. She is the best, and I couldn’t recommend Dive Azores more ?? - via
