It is almost everything described in the positive reviews. However there is a hidden side to it's veneered facade.
It is operated by Dutch owners who have regrettably imported and imposed their European sense of private property/ownership in an otherwise pristine and boundless nature. They ostracized others, including locals who are not welcomed to walk by. They have erected fences around the perimeter, posted no entry signs and behave as entitled colonialists, at times mocking or belittling autochtones and their neighboring businesses.
Having experienced both the local homestay and this luxurious but somehow hypocritical Eco Resort , there is no doubt the former provides a more authentic, memorable and respectful sense of Kri.
Maybe the Covid-19 pandemic will have given the owners an opportunity to do some soul-searching and corrective measures towards a renewed ethos ..... - via
