Listen to the recent reviews and ignore the ones from the past. We talked to several customers that have used the shop for years when we went out with them and they have said that the quality has gone down tremendously since the passing of the previous owner.
Company told us that they would not charge us for the PADI digital coursework since we paid for it directly with PADI, and then told us that that wasn't possible. Meaning they took an extra $230 from us for nothing.
Their dive gear is in very poor shape and low quality considering how much they charge for their packages.
They had the worst communication of any dive shop that I've ever worked with with regard to coordinating dives and trying to get information out of them about what we would do. There was a storm a couple of the days and they didn't even bother to let us know that we were canceled for the morning and we had to drive out to the dive shop and talk to them in person, while somebody else that was staying at our hostel had lovely communication with their dive shop and they actually are the ones that told us that the park had been closed in the morning.
While we were on the boat, our instructor called my dive buddy a derogatory term in Spanish, too bad we understood.
The only shining star in any of this was the really lovely gentleman located behind the equipment counter who was friendly and helpful.
Update:
I've since talked to other divers here and they have had such better experiences for even less money. Such as full meals on board and even warm jackets for post dive. - via
