DO NOT BOOK IF ITS NOT NEW MOON. Booked the bioluminescent tour with my partner, and it felt very dishonest. We paid the full $65 price and were super excited to see the bioluminescence. Turns out it was too close to full moon (5 days before) and we could see absolutely nothing. They had to put a blanket over our kayak so we could see it for 2 minutes. They didnt mention any of this until we were ankle deep in the mud.
If its not close to the new moon, do not book this tour.
Note to the company: you should call this out before selling the experience to people, or offer discounts when you know the bioluminescence is not going to be visible. - via
