Clearly a favorite dive shop for locals, the owners are seasoned divers but seem to lack patience for newcomers. As a beginner/first time diver I felt totally overwhelmed walking into this shop. Compared to the PADI prep work required to dive here, the owner's instruction style is rather unforgiving and very fast-paced. The website is definitely misleading about what materials are offered in the course (i.e., equipment rental vs. required accessories). If you are a novice, call ahead and request a detailed walk-through and explanation of EVERYTHING you need to bring and what the cost of the course is. It will save you a lot of heartache and probably a lot of money when you get there (trust me, learn from my mistake). For veteran divers, I'm sure this is a great little spot, but beginners BEWARE. I did not proceed with the course (lost $400, no refund, no mercy) because I felt unsafe with these instructors. I definitely felt like my safety was tossed aside in favor of lining pockets. - via
