I did 2-tank dive with Julian at La Jolla cove back in September. I really enjoyed the experience, and I would highly recommend him as a diving instructor. It was my first cold water dive and Julian did an amazing job fitting me with all the necessary equipment, explaining the key aspects of the cold-water diving and diving in a kelp forest, and setting the expectations. Visibility that day was not the greatest, but Julian did everything he could to make it an enjoyable experience. I was most interested in diving in a kelp forest and navigating it was really exciting. We saw a ton fish, lobsters, and, obviously, sea lions. Julian even took me to a couple of spots where he knows sea lions like to play. We just sat there and observed them going around it in circles. It was really mesmerizing.
