Nothing but praise for NLS! I initially came to them as a student in June of last year for my PADI Open Water certification, and have since gone to them exclusively for both gear and training. I appreciate their transparency above all - Chris and Kelly only carry gear that they (or their team of instructors) have used and liked themselves. Especially as a newcomer to diving, a team willing to share firsthand experience and recommendations with equipment made a world of difference. Britt has been a huuuuge help several times making those impossible choices on what to buy.
In training, the NLS crew does a great job of meeting people where they’re at. I’ve been in training dives with experienced divers getting re-certified, complete beginners like myself, and divers everywhere in between. The instructors make certain everyone is comfortable with skills and equipment. Even beyond PADI’s course requirements, instructors share tips and tricks with the intent of helping students become better divers overall. Ray, Chris, Kelly, and Thea have all helped me through the Open Water, Advanced Open Water, and Dry Suit certifications and I’m so grateful for their expertise! Discounts for students at the shop are also generous and can be a big help for students looking to buy gear through NLS.
I can’t say enough good things about the team. Do yourself a favor and set up with these folks - you’re in experienced hands with honest and trustworthy leadership. Learning to dive is a big undertaking and I’m so grateful I had this crew to guide me through it. - via
