On Sunday the 8th of Jan 2023 12 of us in number went along for a Birthday party. On leaving everyone in the group is unsure if our experience had been caused by post-Holiday fatigue, but in all the years we have been going, in some cases over 25 then everything that could be wrong was pretty much up there.
The food was short on quality, quantity and heat. Most relevant being the food temperature. Nearly all the dishes without exception were neigh cold and not ideal at a Sunday lunch and not a salad... With only a party of 12 it isn't hard to deliver hot food consistently. We were also always hunting down service rather than being hosted. Again unusual.
So, in the hope that it was in fact post-holiday fatigue and based on previous experience we will be back again one day and for hopefully a far better and happier experience. Living on island there is a vast array of opportunities to eat, and consistency has to be there whatever the time of year. - via
