I've been skiing since I was 11 and for some reason I had never been to Mont Sutton. I recently took it upon myself to fix that and I was not disappointed. This mountain is an absolute gem. Lot's of variety and absolutely fantastic views.
A quick rundown for those thinking about going here. If you only like wide groomers then Sutton isn't for you. Besides, what's the fun in skiing if you don't mix it up. They have trails in the trees for pretty much every level of skier and if the idea of skiing so close to trees scares you, just remember that you'll only become a better skier at a place like this. Some of the glade runs could use a little regular maintenance. Tree skiing is fun but when I went it was tree skiing mixed with moguls lol. Ok, I'm nit picking there and honestly it was all fun anyways. That being said though I do only have one real gripe and that's the fact that there were a few runs that probably should have been closed off and looked after as the ice was dangerous and impossible to see until you're right on top of it. (Which is too late lol) By the way you'll notice the "lolz". Unless something is neglectfully dangerous then, as a skier you gotta chalk it up to changing conditions which is a huge part of skiing. If you take a tumble, laugh it off and get back out there. No point in getting mad. Just remember folks, if you're going down, avoid the trees.
