We had a very nice time at Sans Souci, however, upon arrival we found out that part of the resort was being renovated and one of the restaurants were closed down along with other areas. We were not informed that dress shorts with a collared shirt was not acceptable in the main restaurant, Casinova, for men but jeans were OK. I ordered the beef for dinner, medium rare and it came out well done. My husband ordered the chicken and shrimp. The chicken was so over cooked that he had to ask for a sharper knife in order to cut it but then gave up. It was inedible. When we told the staff, they just looked at us without a word and smiled. We came back from a full day in the sun only to find our room was not made up. They apologized and said they would send someone as soon as they could . We repeatedly had issues like these throughout our week. The room’s definitely need a refresher and the floors need a scrubbing.
On the positive side, the bar staff was very good as was the spa. They were engaging and a lot of fun. To our surprise, there were 2 visiting tennis pro’s from Canada that were amazing. Michelle & Ralph taught us so much every morning from 8-10:00, along with the resident Pro. They are the main reason we had such a great time. - via
