First time customer renting a bc and reg setup. When I got to dive location, the secondary regulator leaked and free flowed creating a constant leak ending the days plans. After calling the store, the only option provided was to return to the store, which I was unable as I was over an hour away and the store closed in 20 minutes. The technician was “out of the country”, so no advice was provided to help solve the issue over the phone. The store only wanted to refund me for the rental of the regulator; however, if you don’t have a regulator to use, you also can’t use the BCD. Duh!! I was still charged for the tank rental as I luckily was able to find a different setup elsewhere that worked in the three days the store was closed over the holiday. In terms of customer service as to how inconvenient this issue is was, I’d expect an entire refund. Very unimpressed by the attitude of the store employee and his lack of desire to help fix this issue or lack of empathy towards the broken gear. Will never rent from this store again. - via
