I would love to give this place 5 stars. We had a great experience with our instructor, Fenly. Pedro was also great to work with. But... it's more expensive than other quality dive outfits. And unfortunately, the staff let us down when it came to getting a day trip organized to visit Komodo and snorkel with the Manta rays. There was a government weather advisory which caused some problems, but pretty much every boat made it out the following day except Aqura (and the weather was perfect.) Despite countless whatsapp messages and several conversations with Aldi (the staff member), hotel manager, and the owner of Aqura I am still not sure what happened to cancel our day trip. Clearly there was a breakdown in communication and Aldi was not very helpful in troubleshooting when things went sideways. Aqura had harbor permission the night before, but wasn't willing to do the work to actually get us on a boat the next morning and did not set up any alternate afternoon trips, which would have been completely possible. I also had to jump through lots of hoops to get a very small discount for our troubles, and there was misleading communication on that as well from Aldi. For the price, I recommend you choose another dive company. - via
