I was here for 10 dives and an EFR course and feel like it was in a 'bad company period'. It was in september 2022
There are loads of 5-star reviews but no matter how hard I try I cannot give these five stars.
There were to many 'unhappy moments' and safety issues for my taste.
They tried to make you happy but it always seemed a lot off effort for them and they did not always succeed in it. Most days the gave the impression they had to come diving and realy did not enjoy it themselves, including some yelling and some anger now and then.
Safety-wise there happened to much to call it save. Without comming to a discussion whos responsible for a tourist-divers safety a lot could have been prefented by pointing out buddies and look after the safety checks before a dive. Loosing tanks, loosing weight, loosing fins, jump in without being inflated, going deeper the skill-level etc.
Boat mallfunctions twice, once without having a radio or cellphone-reach.
Don't get me wrong, they gave it some effort, I was taken on a dive alone where others canceled because I wanted to go to that location, he did take me and I apreciate that, it was my most enjoyable dive this year.
It is just a list too long to give it 5 stars. Safety always should come first and it didnt always feel save. On 6 out of 10 dives there happened some arguable stuff, things I never experienced in the 80 dives before I was here. Yelling at customers just isnt a good thing, not even is the customer was wrong.
My first advise to Crest would be to point out buddies and make sure they do safety checks before jumping in. This alone would have prefented a lot.
Beside that they seem to stuggle with email, not responding etc. This is not a good thing.
Also prices, website shows different prices from what I had to pay. Site stills says €430 for a 10-dive package where I had to pay €480, yes I have my own gear.
So overall, I had some good dives with Crest and some good moments. Beside that there happened to many arguable things when it comes to safety and pleasure. I cannot give it a 5-star rating. From all the centres I have been diving with now I have to put this one at the bottom of the list, sorry. - via
