Surf instructors are awesome. Homemade food kills every breakfast and lunches you’ve ever had. But the price is way above the quality of service from their management. Don’t expect any flexibility on their side for your booking! Moreover, their prices are in GBP which makes it really uncompetitive compared to other places like Bombora Surf camp, right above their place.
My room was not serviced by housekeeping on my last night, I was charged 17£ for a massage that is stated 120k IDR on their brochure, and a few other things that show that management has no experience with hospitality.
Moreover, I had the least expensive room (Just a fan, which was still double the price of an A/C room in Bombora) and it is situated right next to a road with quite some traffic. Expect to be waken up throughout the night by scooters that make you feel like you’re sleeping on a highway.
For comfort, and good food, go forward. For a true surf experience, moreover on a cheaper budget, aim for nearby places and deal with local instructors or surf schools. You’ll get better sleep and will support locals way better, for the same quality of surf classes. - via
David and Lillian are the friendliest owners. They are super flexible and can arrange most of your requests. David will gladly give you theory refresh classes, which is accompanied by cool drawings :) Their knowledge of the area, dive sites and even non-diving activities is a must! You can go there entirely confident you will enjoy your dives. - via
