DJL runs a incredible mediocre dive shop, we sat on the beach for 2 hours because they couldn’t coordinate something as simple as having water. We proceeded to go to most lack luster dive spot, with the blandest coral and minimal fish. I have snorkeled and seen more sealife. Our second destination was a merely on the other side of the island with similar scenery and a inconvenient current, compared to other dive shops that will completely change location to ensure a new dive experience this was greatly disappointing. By the end of the second dive I was so bored of looking at the same brown coral, I couldn’t get out of the water fast enough. They also charged us for a “national park fee” when no other shop that I spoke to charged this fee. Go to a different shop, they are upfront about their prices and will ensure you go to a beautiful dive spot that Koh Lipe is known for. - via
