I want to start by saying I have a masters in scuba diving (MSD). Were it not for the young American girl helping me I would have taken my leave much sooner. I should also make it clear that vape smoke contributes to allergic reactions, and having vape smoke blown at my face by the instructor Tassos created a lot of problems for me as you could imagine.
During our boat dive, the young girl working at this establishment who carefully and thoughtfully helped me and others in the group ensure our equipment was safe and secure was told off for seemingly no reason at all. The workplace is no place for personal grievances, and I found this behavior completely unacceptable. Had I not been a comfortable diver I would have not taken part in the dive as this made me very uncomfortable.
I can swim just fine, and I myself was treated just fine - but I can't help but notice how other guests and staff were treated during my time. To see others that, mind you, are also experienced swimmers, yelled at, berated, and downright treated poorly is very disheartening. I go diving to feel free, I clearly understood what I was doing as I do this frequently and was there to support everyone else in my group. - via
