5-Stars ALL THE WAY! “Joseph” doesn't understand that this is a gift to be with the manatees. We are in their world and they are protected and loved. Yes, there are a few volunteers and park employees that are out there to monitor people so they don’t ruin it for others. Yesterday the massive peaceful creatures were all around my kayak, it took my breath away, beyond measure. Was I the only person there to enjoy them, NO! There are lots of people there to have the same wonderful experience we had. You do not have to get out of your Kayak, they are not afraid of the boats they come all around you and under you! It was a very very short paddle to their habitat. But we went farther and made/had our own adventure and still saw manatees! EVERYONE was super helpful. THERE IS A HANDICAP railing to use to help lower yourself into the kayak, plus they helped us. Age, or bad knees, or not being very bendy, or having good balance, shouldn’t stop you. You can do this and Crystal River Kayak employees WANT YOU TO have a great time and great experience. They sure made us feel welcomed! (Yes there is overflow parking but you can drop off your stuff, check in, then park, they even hold your keys!). (And Yes, they do only have portapotties, (that are switched out every week) but they weren’t bad and that’s not why we were there!) We picked CRK because it was the closest to the manatees and they were nice and professional on the phone. Then once we arrived they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable in/out of the water! Smiles, Joy, and People who clearly loved their job! Thank you. - via google
