As someone with a bit of experience in the sport (34 years) , who has jumped all around the world. They do specialize in tandem skydives for 1st timers but have a very small experienced jumper community. The DZ is unable/unwilling to do student training for those that want to take lessons but can tell you to go elsewhere to get certified. To be able to jump at Snohomish requires a C license or above due to airport restrictions. For those licensed jumpers that chose to come and jump you will find a dz that is mostly devoid of any fun jumpers and a tandem factory. Those that do decide to still show up will be fitted in around the tandems - make no mistake you are simply making the numbers up. The dropzone also has a canopy policy that the dz owner instigated which while not bad, means that you may not even be able to jump so definately check that out before showing up. Depending upon his mood he may choose to enforce it or not. For those that are looking to make a 1st jump, they will gladly empty your wallet with upgrade options for video, or to go above 10,000 ft knowing that almost everyone will pay the extra. If you want them to put out a small sign for a proposal, they can charge you to put that sign out. The place is clean and run like clockwork- ie a factory. If you want to do a tandem jump to say you did it and thats your only goal then this place is closest to seattle. If you want to learn to skydive or are a licensed jumper then there are much better options. They love using the one of best places to skydive but these all tend to be tandem factories on the list. Sure, there are mountains and water but its funny that these lists appear to miss the legitimate dropzones which licensed skydivers actually want to go to around the world. Who writes these list The Travel Channel- yes a renowned source of information for skydivers !!! Even living 10 minutes away from The dropzone with well over 11000 jumps many of which were done there, I’ll choose to spend my money elsewhere. - via google
