The dive shop seemed clean with helpful staff that spoke English and Spanish.
However, we booked a dive for midweek and gave our contact number, as requested, so they could advise if the dive couldn't go ahead.
We arrived on the dive day at the booked time to be informed that there were no dives due to bad weather. Absolutely understandable, however as we had walked 30 minutes with our gear to get there, it would've been good to be called when they had our number for that exact purpose.
We were rescheduled for the next day.
I text the next morning an hour before the dive to check the status and was told to come in later in the morning instead.
We did, again lugging our stuff 30 minutes to the shop, only to be told there were no dives at all that day as the port was closed.
Absolutely understand that dives can't go ahead for safety but we checked and were literally advised that very morning to come in and yet it was another hour round trip with baggage and no dives.
I'm sure they're great, but we were disappointed and tired when this could've been saved with a simple text or call. - via
