I had an awesome experience skydiving at Skydive Extreme Calgary. All the staff were positive, friendly, professional and helpful; from the check-in, to the trainer, to the tandem jump instructors. Everyone made me feel safe, supported and encouraged to skydive.
My tandem instructor, Scotty, was great. In flight to our altitude, he reassured me, and gave me updates on our altitude. There were two sport jumpers on our flight, they were also reassuring and encouraging. It felt good to be included in this unique community for the day.
At our jump altitude, Scotty pushed off. It was not like falling, just floating. After the parachute deployed, it was very quiet and became a gentle but exhilarating glide. What a fantastic view and an awesome feeling floating in the parachute.
Scotty glided us down to a smooth landing in front of everyone watching at the viewing area. For me it was an awesome experience and a great feeling of accomplishment. The video package is definitely worth getting to remember those moments. Thank you Scotty, and the Staff at Skydive Extreme Calgary.
